Tranexamic acid injection is used to control or prevent excessive or heavy bleeding during dental procedures in patients withhemophilia. This medicine is for short-term use only, usually 2 to 8 days.
Tranexamic acid injection is an antifibrinolytic agent. It works by blocking the breakdown of blood clots. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
This medicine is available only with your doctor's prescription.
How To Use
Your doctor will prescribe your dose and schedule. This medicine is given through a needle placed in a vein.

When Not To Use
You should not receive this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to tranexamic acid, or if you have an eye disorder that causes you to have problems seeing certain colors. You should not receive this medicine if you have a certain type of head injury or bleeding in your brain. You should not receive this medicine if you have an active or a history of blood clots.
